Orientation Day January 2025 for Exchange Students
Welcome to HAMK´s Orientation Day 2025!
Welcome to Finland, welcome to HAMK! We are happy to invite you to start your exchange studies with a common orientation day, where you will learn about the practicalities needed to get your studies started, meet other exchange students and learn the basics of life in Finland.
Please remember to bring with you at least a valid ID, enough warm clothes as well as a towel, swimwear and flip-flops.
Schedule:
When: Friday 10 January 2025
Where: HAMK Evo Campus
- Morning Bus Ride: We will arrange you the transportation from your own HAMK campus to Evo. The exact schedule will be informed later.
- 10.00 Arrival to Evo Campus
- 10.00 – 10.30 Morning Coffee & Snacks
- 10.30 – 10.45 Ice breaking activity
- 10.45 – 11.45 Info sessions: All the most important information about studying at HAMK
- 11.45 – 12.30 Lunch: Lunch at the Evo Campus cafeteria. Please make sure to bring a card for payment!
- 12.30 – 15.00 Integration activities: Get to know your fellow exchange students and some of the services & activities HAMK offers
- 14.30 – 15.00 Coffee break
- 15.00 – 16.00 Integration activities continue
- 16.00 – 17.55 Sauna & BBQ: an authentic Finnish way of spending an evening, enjoying a sauna together & grilling some sausages as an evening snack.
- 18.00 Bus departure back

Maybe you have already heard something about the Finnish sauna culture? We are happy to invite you to relax in a Finnish way after the orientation day to experience it yourself! Please remember to bring at least a towel and swimwear, also flip-flops, soap etc. are recommended.
