Suggest the HAMK Alum of the Year 2024

The Alum of the Year award is given annually to a distinguished person who has graduated from HAMK. Candidates for the 2024 award are once again sought through an open call.

HAMK has awarded the Alum of the Year since 2019. So far, the award has been given to engineer Elina Lämsä, nurse Pirjo Ali-Tuomola, entrepreneur Turo Nylund, CEO Karri Koskelo, and organic farmer Tommi Hasu.

Suggestions are collected until November 5, 2024

Anyone can nominate a person to be awarded as the Alum of the Year at HAMK. The Alum of the Year can be a person who has completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at HAMK and who has in some positive way promoted education, their field, or cooperation with the university of applied sciences, or in other ways positively influenced the surrounding society.

The proposals are handled by an internal working group at HAMK, and the person to be awarded is selected by this group.
