We promote the increase of sustainable business opportunities for food production in Uusimaa, environmental friendliness and resilience in food production.

The project conveys the latest information about the opportunities brought by sustainable agriculture, regenerative food production, the circular economy and new innovations for the development of sustainable rural vitality.

The sustainability of the primary production of food is of great importance to the sustainability of the entire food chain. The opportunities brought by the rural biocircular economy and the carbon sinks of agricultural land are extensive and globally significant from the point of view of curbing climate emissions. The implementation of new solutions requires versatile cooperation and activation to absorb new information.

In the project, we cooperate with actors and projects relevant to the topic, such as the Climate Expert – Research information and good practices for consumers and rural entrepreneurs project and Sustainable and Responsible Farm (MaKe) project.

The project organizes events aimed at a wide audience, as well as regional events focused on different themes aimed at smaller target groups in Western, Central and Eastern Uusimaa. The events are linked to national and regional strategies for sustainable food production.

With the help of the information conveyed in the project, it is possible to renew the food production and economic activity in rural Uusimaa in a direction that is sustainable, innovative and resilient in changing conditions. The project also communicates the possibilities of R&D cooperation and funding to speed up the development work and continue the work after the project.
