In TECHBOOST project, we help SMEs to adopt, develop and apply new technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence.

Many SMEs are keen to explore the potential of automation and robotisation in their businesses, but would need clear evidence that robotisation is economically viable for their business first.

In TECHBOOST project, we are working with participating companies to develop a new type of assessment method to help them understand how to use new automation and robotics technologies to support their short- and medium-term profitability.

Experiments will be carried out with participating companies to identify the typical pain points for SMEs in the evaluation of robotisation projects. This information will be used to help develop the evaluation methodology. The project will also explore how students could help more in the identification, insight and ideation of robotisation targets.

The project is implemented by the TECHBOOST project network, that consists of six universities (Aalto, Metropolia, OAMK, TAMK, TAU, HAMK) and supports companies in finding partners and technology suppliers. Metropolia is the main coordinator of the project.

Through university partnerships, we help companies, researchers and technology providers to find each other, work in a networked way and learn from each other.
