The SUSFOR project aims to enhance the capacity of forestry vocational education and training (VET) institutions to provide relevant, inclusive, and practical training for ecological, social, and economic development.

To achieve this, the project focuses on creating a strong foundation for need-based and work-life responsive forestry education. It improves the skills of VET staff and strengthens their connections with the industry for effective collaboration. Additionally, the project develops student-centered teaching methods and inclusive training materials to enhance core forestry skills. By establishing mechanisms for public-private partnerships, the project ensures high-quality forestry training and helps VET institutions market themselves better.

These efforts are expected to boost the employability and entrepreneurial mindset of graduates, providing them with skills relevant for sustainable forestry and societal development. Key activities include matching skills with the private sector, training VET teachers in modern teaching methods, and creating permanent collaboration mechanisms with the industry. All activities will be tested, piloted, and reviewed, with VET students actively involved in the process.
