From customer understanding towards service innovations and new business!
Would you like to increase your company’s customer understanding? Are you interested in innovating new types of services and ways of working? Could the development of services improve your company’s competitiveness?
To succeed, SMEs must strive to be more customer-oriented while at the same time offering services that provide an increasingly high customer experience, such as new technologies and operating concepts. As development resources are often scarce, it is necessary to carefully consider what kind of innovations they can be targeted at in the change pressure created by digitalization.
Service innovations can solve in a completely new way the problems encountered by the customer or the needs identified by him, which may not yet have a corresponding solution on the market. A typical goal for service innovation is to produce an even better customer experience, through which customer loyalty can be improved and sales growth can be influenced, and completely new customer flows can be reached.
The goal of the NUOTTA – EAKR project is to support and encourage SMEs to implement service innovation and develop their services to be more customer-oriented. The project also creates conditions for future service innovation and other R&D activities by supporting the adoption of new technologies, solutions and practices related to improving customer understanding in SMEs.
Join the NUOTTA project:
- Participate in a company-specific current state analysis: defining the current state of customer understanding and the maturity of processes as well as the prerequisites, potential and resources related to service innovation in the form of an interview.
- Order a company-specific, self-financed development plan: a development plan for customer understanding and customer-oriented service development is implemented in the form of a workshop.
- Order company-specific, self-financed support for a service innovation pilot project: the project could be, for example, POC definition, idea testing or other customer-specific action to promote and accelerate service development measures.
Participation in one measure does not require participation in the project’s other measures, but the company can decide on possible follow-up measures after the current state analysis. The company’s self-financing share in optional follow-up measures is up to 1200 euros depending on the need to use external expert work.
Target groups
The main target groups of the project include small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector from Uusimaa and Kanta-Häme, as well as SMEs in the service sectors related to these ecosystems. The project also promotes customer-oriented service development and the creation of service innovations by young entrepreneurs and new companies.
Operational area
The operational area includes Uusimaa, including the KUUMA municipalities: Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Kirkkonummi, Kerava, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Sipoo, Tuusula, and Vihti, as well as Kanta-Häme, including Riihimäki, Loppi, and Hausjärvi.
Get involved!
Order a current state analysis for your company, after which you can, if you wish, continue to a self-financed development plan and/or a service innovation pilot project (self-financing share up to 1200€).
