We bring together home care providers, technology companies, and residents of Kanta-Häme to develop new home and remote care services and strengthen digital skills.

Home and remote care services, as well as the utilization of welfare technology, have great potential in improving the daily lives and promoting the health of older people. In the InnoCareHub project, we are developing home and remote care in Kanta-Häme together with local home care providers, technology companies, residents, and educational institutions. We are building a center of expertise and a network for co-development in Kanta-Häme, with the aim of renewing the offering of digital services that can be brought into the home.

Target group

The target groups of the project are home and remote care service providers operating in the Kanta-Häme region, as well as companies producing and developing home and remote care technology. Indirect target groups include organizers of elderly services in the Kanta-Häme well-being area, the aging population of the region, senior and patient organizations, third sector actors providing home services, as well as vocational schools and universities of applied sciences.

Operating area

The primary geographical operating area of the project is Kanta-Häme, but the results and impacts of the project may also extend more widely to the national and international level through the research and development activities carried out in the project.

The objectives of the project

In the project, we are building a center of expertise for digital services that can be taken home. The center of expertise promotes social, ecological, and economic business as well as digital skills in the area.

The objectives of the project:

  1. Building a center of expertise and co-development in order to develop home and remote care services in the Kanta-Häme region.
  2. Developing new service concepts to promote the business of small and medium-sized home care companies in Kanta-Häme.
  3. Strengthening the digital skills and technological expertise of home care providers in Kanta-Häme.

Project activities

We bring together home care service providers and technology companies to create new service and product concepts through co-development methods.

We invite home care service providers in Kanta-Häme and technology companies in Finland focusing on home and remote care to join our network. We are gathering a customer panel of older adults interested in digital services.

We produce a survey on the current state of home and remote care services and the operating environment. We offer home care service providers and technology companies opportunities for co-developing new service and product concepts.

We create a portal that connects service providers, customers, and relatives to support the co-development of services and innovations. We promote the continuity of the center of expertise and network by creating materials and practices that support the activities.
