HAMK library customer service is on break from Thursday June 20 to Sunday August 11. You can send us email [email protected] during summer, but answers may be delayed due to summer holidays. Reserved books and inter-library loans are not transported during the break. Materials will be transported between campuses for the last time June 3–7. Thesis archiving and publishing is on break from June 20 to July 4.
All libraries are on self-service for HAMK students and staff with HAMK key card. Evo campus library will move soon, so there will be a short break in its self-service time; keep an eye out for our news posts.
Customer service opens in Hämeenlinna university centre library and through phone on Monday August 12. We will inform you about all campus library service hours in August.
Reserve books and renew your loans for the summer in HAMK Finna
Reserved books and inter-library loans will be transported between campuses for the last time June 3–7 according to the normal schedule.
Please send us your staff loan orders and acquisition requests by the end of May, if you want the books for summer. E-material requests can be requested until the end of June.
When you renew your loans now, the due date will be August 28. Log in to HAMK Finna with HAMK ID or library card number and PIN-code to see and renew your loans. You cannot renew your loans if there are reservations for them, you have over 10 € of fines or the book has been marked lost for being late. You will not get library fines for late books during the library’s summer break.
Long summer loans do not apply to e-materials.
Customer service before summer break
Before June 20, customer service is available in Hämeenlinna university centre, by phone +358 3 646 4700 and by email Mon-Thu from 9 am to 3 pm and Fri from 10 am to 3 pm. Check possible exceptions on HAMK Finna.
Customer service is available for the last time in the campus libraries of Evo, Forssa, Lepaa, Mustiala, Riihimäki and Valkeakoski June 3–7 according to normal schedule.
Thesis archiving and publishing
Thesis archiving and publishing is on summer break from June 20 to August 4. Theses submitted during the break will be published and archived in August. You can send us an email to [email protected] if needed. Emails sent during the summer break will be answered in August.
How to return loans when you have a HAMK key card
If you have a HAMK key card, you can return your loans with the self-check machine in the nearest campus library. Inter-library loans can be returned like regular loans.
There are also return boxes next to campus library doors. If you return your loans there, they will stay in your loan information until the library staff visits that campus in August.
How to return loans when you don’t have a HAMK key card
The library’s outdoor return box is in Hämeenlinna University Centre: building D, in Visakaarre street, next to the main entrance. Please do not leave books outside the box if it’s full. Unfortunately, other campuses do not have outdoor book return boxes.
You can mail the books to library. Our address is: HAMK library, Visamäentie 35 A, 13100 Hämeenlinna. You have to pay the costs yourself and you are responsible for the books until they arrive to the library. If you need the recipient’s mobile phone number, you can use +358 505692054.
