Kickoff for teachers training program in Individualized Learning in Collaborative and Blended Learning Environments
HAMK Edu took part this week (26.9.-29.9.2022) in implementing a kickoff for teachers’ training program in Individualized Learning in Collaborative and Blended Learning Environments.
The kickoff was held at the premises of HAMK’s project partner Istituto Formazione Operatori Aziendali (IFOA) in Italy. The participants of the program are mainly VET teachers representing organisations from four different countries: IFOA (Italy), Raision seudun koulutuskuntayhtymä RASEKO (Finland), Berufliche Schule ITECH (Germany), Center Republike Slovenije za Poklicno Izobrazevanje CPI (Slovenia) and Solski Center Novo mesto (Slovenia).
The program consists of ten different modules of which the participants are allowed to choose the most suitable ones for themselves. After completing a module, they will implement the method/-s in practical teaching practices by piloting them with VET students in four countries. In the end a participant may apply for an Open Badge to demonstrate one’s competence about the topic. The modules / Open Badges of the training program are:
- Accessibility
- Agile Methods
- Carpe Diem
- Design Thinking
- Digital Tools
- Scaffolding Online
- Retrospective
- ePortfolio
- Team Building Activities
- Setting up Blended Learning Environment
Everyone can access and read more about the already opened modules from the project platform at www.coble.eu.
In the kickoff the participants had the chance to choose a module or modules to begin with in parallel workshops. After the kickoff, the training continues in virtual learning environments. The training program will continue in another face-to-face meeting in ITECH (Germany) in January. After the training program participants have the needed competences to start doing their own learning design and piloting in blended learning environments with student groups in their own institution. After pilots participating teachers may demonstrate their competences and competence accreditation is made by the open badge concept.
The training program is conducted as a part of an Erasmus+ project Individualized Learning in Collaborative and Blended Learning Environments (CoBLE), coordinated by HAMK. The training course and Open Badges are developed as part of this project cooperation between the abovementioned organizations. Previously the project has implemented learning, training & teaching activities in Finland (March 2022) and in Slovenia (June 2022). The project lasts until the end of 2023 and the project results will be later disseminated in a form of a video library.
