Lepaa campus
At our campus in Lepaa, you can get a close-up feel of the horticultural world.
The campus has a long tradition of training horticultural professionals for over a hundred years, since 1910.
HAMK’s horticultural educations are the only ones of their kind in Finland, in addition to several courses offered by the Häme Vocational Institute on campus. Lepaa also hosts the Built Environment Research Group of the Bioeconomy Research Unit, which focuses on current development challenges at the interface of the social, vegetal and built environment. Our community consists of around 400 students and 40 staff members.
In addition to being a learning and research environment, Lepaa is also an event centre. Every year, the campus hosts the Lepaa Exhibition, the most important horticultural and green event in Finland for professionals and enthusiasts.
The Lepaa winery, located on the campus, hosts an annual farm wine competition, which selects the farm wines of the year in various categories. There is also a nine-hole pay and play golf course at Lepaa, where the emphasis is on relaxed socializing and fun.
The Lepaa campus park was the first in Finland to receive the Green Flag Award for its maintenance, user-friendliness and visitor participation.

The easiest way to get to the campus is by car. You can also get there from Hämeenlinna by taxi or bus.
Check the bus route from Hämeenlinna route planner. The closest stop to the Lepaa campus is the Puutarhaoppilaitos stop (shown on the map as a yellow icon).
The parking area (marked with a yellow icon) next to the bus stop on the map (marked as P) is located closest to the main entrance of the campus. You can also find other parking areas on the map.
Our campus doors are generally open on weekdays between 8am and 4pm.
HAMK students can get a key card, which can be used to move around the campus even when the doors are locked.
Services
The campus food services at Lepaa are provided by Ruokala Anna. The canteen serves breakfast and lunch on weekdays. Breakfast is served from Tuesday to Friday at 7.30 to 8.00. A tasty lunch is served at 11.00-13.00 Monday to Thursday and at 11.00-12.30 on Fridays.

All enrolled degree students who are registered for attendance receive primary health care services through the FSHS.

Student Union of Häme University of Applied Sciences – HAMKO represents HAMK students and promotes their interests at all our campuses.

The campus has its own gym and fitness centre. For example, the gym has its own ball games reserved for students.
In addition to indoor sports facilities, Lepaa has excellent outdoor sports facilities. Next to the campus is the 9-hole Lepaa golf course and frisbee and football golf courses.
There are also jogging trails and swimming areas right on or near the campus.

Our Forssa campus is located in an old cotton mill, which has been stylishly renovated for HAMK. A cultural centre has been created in the spinning mill area, which, in addition to the school, is home to a community college, a music college, museums, businesses, a library, a bowling alley and restaurants.

Lepaa
With farm landscapes, tomato production and 20 hectares of parkland, our Lepaa campus gives you a taste of horticulture up close. The campus has a long tradition of training horticultural professionals for over 100 years, since 1910.
Mustiala
Historic Mustiala, located in a peaceful rural setting, is HAMK’s oldest campus, dating back to 1840. Today, the old and idyllic buildings are surrounded by an advanced organic teaching and research farm, providing students with a hands-on learning environment.
Riihimäki
Diverse engineering skills, robotics and transport, you’ll find it all at the Riihimäki campus. The campus offers both Finnish- and English-language engineering courses, graduating future all-rounders. In addition to teaching, the campus also does a lot of research work.
Valkeakoski
A truly international learning environment can be found in Valkeakoski! Located in the South-Pirkanmaa region of Finland, our Valkeakoski campus is modern and community-oriented.
