Rahtijärvi cabin at Evo

Overview

Our Evo campus offers idyllic accommodation in the setting of Finland’s oldest forest school. The Rahtijärvi cabin is the last clay hut in the area, where the lumberjacks and drivers who collected war reparations lived. Today it is an accommodation and conference building located 3.5 km north of the Evo campus, on the shores of Lake Rahtijärvi. The complex includes the main building Ukkoherra, the accommodation building Jätkälä, a wood-fired lakeside sauna for 8-10 people in Majajoki, an electrically heated sauna for 3-4 people in Jätkälä and a large courtyard with fireplaces. The two buildings of the cabin accommodate 26 people. The location is quiet and there is a road to the house.

Main building Ukkoherra

• Accommodation capacity 8 people. Rooms on three floors (2 x 1hh, 3 x 2hh)
• Drying room and shower facilities at downstairs.
• Meeting room/dining room, well-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, crockery), toilets on three floors.
• In the meeting room there is a wireless internet connection, a fixed data projector (VGA connection) and a flipchart.
• Unobstructed access, ramp to the main floor.

Accommodation building Jätkälä

• The building is located in the same yard.
• Accommodation capacity 18 people.
• The building has three bedrooms, each with three bunk beds. 6 people per room.
• Lobby, kitchen, electric sauna, showers, toilets, TV.
• Ramp from the back terrace to the lobby.

Pricing and other guidelines

• 1 day 600 €, weekend (2 days) 900 €. Price includes VAT. As an optional extra, you can get a final cleaning (100€/house) and a linen package for 15€/person (incl. linen and towel).
• For bookings of more than 2 nights, the price will be agreed separately according to the length of the booking, the number of persons and the purpose of the stay. The cabin can be checked in at 15:00 and will be checked out at 12:00.
• The key can be collected by arrangement from Saarelantie 1, 16970 Evo. Rahtijärvi cabin is located at Rahtijärventie 357, 16970 Evo.
