Admission criteria

We will select students for each program during the application period. If a program reaches its maximum capacity, we will stop accepting applications for that program. Therefore, it is important to submit your application as early as possible at Studyinfo.fi.

In this application, we will select most of the students based on their upper secondary school performance or SAT-scores. For more detailed criteria, you can find information on the degree programmes own page:

Student selection results

The student selection results will be published during the application period, at the latest by 19 June 2025. You will be sent an e-mail if you are offered a study place. You then have time until 10 July 2025 3:00 pm Finnish time to confirm the study place.

Please notice that once you confirm the study place you cannot anymore accept any other study places leading to a higher education degree in Finland if the studies begin in the same academic term.

You can apply to several english taught programmes and higher education institutes in Finland at the same time. Finnish National Joint Application is held on 8 – 22 January 2025 3.00 PM (Finnish time). Apply via Studyinfo.fi during the application period.

You can be selected to study at HAMK by an online entrance exam, which is organised on 1 April 2025.

Admission criteria

Students are selected on the basis of an online entrance examination. The entrance examination consists of motivational and design assignments.

You will be informed about the entrance examination with an e-mail that contains the information about how to enroll to the exam platform. Please keep an eye on your e-mail (all folders).

The entrance examinations are organised four times during the application period:

• 9 – 10 December, for applicants that have applied by 1 October – 30 November 2024
• 10 – 11 February, for applicants that have applied by 1 December 2024 – 31 January 2025
• 8 – 9 April, for applicants that have applied by 1 February – 31 March 2025
• 22 – 23 May, for applicants that have applied by 1 April – 15 May 2025

Admission services will check the applicants eligibility only after passing the entrance examination.

Eligibility

You are eligible f​​or Master’s Degree studies when you have completed relevant qualification and obtained two years of work experience from the relevant field. In addition all applicants must provide proof of their English language skills.

Admissions criteria

Student selection is based on preliminary assignment (thesis plan). In Wearable Intelligence degree programme there is also an online interview for those who pass the preliminary assignment.

Eligibility

You are eligible f​​or Master’s Degree studies when you have completed relevant qualification and obtained two years of work experience from the relevant field. The relevant qualifications are defined separately for each Master’s degree programme.

The combined extent of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees must be at least 300 ECTS credits. In addition all applicants must provide proof of their English language skills.

Applied Machine Learning

You are eligible to apply when you have one of the below mentioned requirements:

• BBA in Business Information Technology (UAS)
• a foreign higher education degree (UAS or university) that is comparable to the above mentioned qualifications

Management in Sustainable Business

You are eligible to apply when you have one of the below mentioned requirements:

• a higher education degree (UAS or university), which includes at least 15 credits of Bachelor’s level studies in the field of Economics and Business Administration.
• a higher education degree (UAS or university) AND applicable work experience in the field of Economics and Business Administration.

Wearable Intelligence

You are eligible to apply when you have one of the below mentioned requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering
• Master of Engineering
• a higher education degree that is comparable to the above mentioned qualifications

Work experience

In addition to the required qualification, you need to have at least two years of work experience from the relevant field. The work experience needs to be obtained after completing the higher education degree. The more specific instructions are in each degree programmes admission criteria.
