Career & Connect Day was a success! Offered career paths for engineering students in Forssa

The Career & Connect Day event held at the Forssa campus brought together Information and Communication Technology, Circular Economy engineering students and local companies.

The first Career & Connect Day business cooperation day was held on Häme University of Applied Sciences’ Forssa campus on March 2025. The event, organized in cooperation with Forssa’s Entrepreneurs Association, offered local companies and future professionals the opportunity to network already during their studies.

The event was attended by a total of about a hundred people, with 14 companies or organizations presenting their activities, including alumni who have graduated from Forssa’s ICT degree, talking about their own jobs and career opportunities in their current companies. Companies present included Tambest, Stera Technologies and Forssa City, among others, all familiar from the company development projects included in the ICT, Circular Economy studies.

In addition to business encounters, the Forssa Junior Chamber offered students the opportunity to practice job interview situations. Also on display were ICT solutions to the challenges of circular economy developed by second-year students in their joint engineering offices that are part of the second-year studies.

Information and Communication Technology, Circular Economy students were offered several thesis topics and internship positions, and companies, in turn, potential new interns, employees and student project makers.

For example, Forssa News interviewed Safetum, who said they found an intern to develop virtual technology through the event.
