Admission results for Professional Guidance Counsellor Education for 2025
HAMK School of Professional Teacher Education have announced the admission results for Professional Guidance Counsellor Education. HAMK congratulates the new students on their study place!
The application period for Professional Guidance Counsellor Education was held from 8th to 22nd January 2025, and the student selections for Professional Guidance Counsellor Education for the year 2025 have been announced today. HAMK has selected a total of 55 new guidance counsellor education students, out of which 12 were chosen for the new Professional Guidance Counsellor Education programme in English.
Applicants have been informed of the results via email and it is also visible in the My Studyinfo (Opintopolku) service. Selected students must accept the study place by April 2, 2025. The studies of new students will begin in early May.
HAMK received a record number of applicants for guidance counsellor education this year. The high number of applicants for the guidance counsellor education programme was explained by the guidance counsellor education programme in English, which is the first-ever in Finland. The new programme aimed at international people in Finland received a lot of interest.
Possible cancellation spots will be offered to those on the waiting list during the spring. The next application period for the training courses is 7-21 January 2026.
Another programme’s, Professional Teacher Education’s admission results are yet to be published. The admission results of the Professional Teacher Education will be published next week on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Selection point limits
The selection of students was based on the scoring of the application according to the admission criteria. In the table below, you can see the number of available study places and the admission score threshold, which is the lowest accepted score to be selected for the studies.
