This nationwide collaborative development project for farms, running from 2024 to 2025, will collect, produce, and spread practical information on the adoption and use of new technologies at the farm level.

The project will also gather best practices, identify possible challenges, and focus on their solutions. In addition to learning from peer experiences, the project will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to gain firsthand experience with new technologies. The communication strategy aims for a multi-channel approach with clear presentations and a wide audience at the national level.

The project’s activities and data collection will consist of small group meetings, a nationwide survey, and small group interviews. Small groups from across Finland will choose arable farming and livestock production technologies of interest, test the equipment, and document the data collected during testing. Participants will be interviewed at the end to discuss the most interesting results. Additionally, a large-scale entrepreneur survey will be conducted during the project, assessing the adoption and interest in new technologies among farmers in continental Finland.
