HAMKO chose the Persons of the Year

The Häme University of Applied Sciences Student Union HAMKO annually selects the HAMK Persons of the Year. This year, Eija Lankinen, Elis Kivi and Katja Holopainen will receive the awards.

HAMKO asked students for nominations for the award in the spring, and several nominations were received, from each of the seven campuses. From the nominations received, it was clear that students value the teaching staff.

The selection process emphasized the teacher’s enthusiasm for educational development and the importance of UAS education.

The jury of the Student Union Board selected the winners from the proposals, and Henriikka Mastokangas, Chair of the Board of the Student Union, announced the winners of the award at the HAMK Personnel Days.

The certificates of honour are awarded to Eija Lankinen, Lecturer in Horticulture, Lepaa Campus, Elis Kivi, Lecturer in Construction and Civil Engineering, Hämeenlinna Campus and Katja Holopainen, Lecturer in Health Care, Hämeenlinna Campus.
